A couple pics from my tank

Was testing a new cable release and decided to take a few quick pictures of some of the coral in my tank.

I didn't do anything other than convert them from RAW and crop a bit, so they're hardly up to Sherman's standards, but I figure I'd post them anyways. =)

hahaha! I usually do too, but I was feeling lazy. Probably because I took over 100 exposures of my new Fridmani Dottyback, and not a one turned out. Active little bugger.

Oh, for anybody who is interested, this is the second set of pictures I've taken using Pixmantec's "Raw Shooter Essentials" for RAW conversion. Its free, and it knocks the socks off of anything else I've used, commercial or otherwise.

It has substantially less noise for the exact same photo as Adobe Camera RAW or Capture One LE, both of which I've used in the past, and the workflow is better in my opinion. It handles exposure and color correction pre-conversion, which is what you really want to have happen. All you need to do in photoshop is cleanup like noise reduction, touchup, and maybe sharpening, although it does have built-in sharpening I like to do that last.

So, if you're wanting to delve into the world of RAW photography, give it a download and see what you think. =)

Pretty minimal. 2x65W PC over a 20H tank. One of the bulbs is actinic, one 10k.
