A lite Haze

I have nothing other than hermit crabs and snails in my tank at the moment. There is a lite haze the is preventing the water from being crystal clear.

I have carbon, and filter pads in the sump. Why would this occur?

Try some real GAC the pads dont do much and exhaust almost immediatly.

i think when he said pads he meant mechanical filter pads.

idgy, how are you running you carbon? bag or reactor? how long has the tank been setup, sounds like a new system so maybe all you gotta do is wait a few more days to let it all settle down. it may be a bacteria bloom if you just put in live rock recently with all the decaying biomass.

Mis read that. It may just be bacterial bloom. Keep changing and mixing the carbon. If its in a bag squeeze and shake the bag daily.
