Acro Crab minus the Acro?

My one and only lil colony of Acro is dying (dead) and it came with a lil Acro Crab. Will the Crab survive without an Acro to live in? I mean I could probably leave the dead coral in there, but that would be a lil ugly.

Positive I'm hoping the Acro will hang on long enough so the crab can take up residence in my Green Pocillopora. I've read that the crab will die without one or the other.

I love my acro crab. I have a large sour apple birdnest next to a purple style and green pocillipora. It prefers the stylo.

ATM my Purple Stylo is just two lil branches. Let's hope it grows quickly!
