The new sps's I got were on acrylic bases, I like that Idea. How Can I make them? Where could I get the acrylic? at home depot? Mclendons? Lowes? and i'm here using live rock to attach frags, which costs more!

I dont know where mclendon you went but there is one here in Kent and they are at the back... where the rest of acrylic tubes (hollow) are....

And the round shapes are already made round...

Theres one like a few blocks away from my house in sumner ;) So the acrylic bases are round and hollow? How much they cost? Were they the exact same bases as the ones the guy was selling with his egg crate holder? :D

They sell solid and hollow... you should bring your own egg crate... and test the acrylics yourself.... There is one that has a perfect fit... that you need to push a little hard... but get the one next smaller to that....

I ended up breaking my eggcrate... so get the one size smaller...

Just use a hole saw to cut the discs out of sheet acrylic.

Good idea, i think it will hold alot better than using the hollow tube.
Hmmmm...i might have to try it first.
