I have about a 1 1/2" sand bed and was thinking about adding more. Is there an easy way to add more without getting sand all over all my corals and clams? Thanks

Ty

Is best to add slowly. You will be upsetting your sandbed if you add too fast.

only add about a 1/2" at a time then let all your critters migrate to the top, do that about every 2 weeks till you get the desired depth. If you do it too quickly you'll kill everything living in your sand.

Use a cup. I've had a few sand storms in my tank before, the corals all survived. If you get any sand on the coral you can use a powerhead (at a distance) to blow it off.

I got a long funnel that had a good size opening, or cut the neck of one to where it will have a decent sized opening. I got 12" of 1" clear hose, and stuck it over the end, and just poured and shook and the sand went in without getting all over my live rock and corals.

Cost: ~$5
