Adobe acrobat 7.07

Hey All,
I'm having puter problems with Acrobat 7.07. I am running xp pro on my P-4 windows pc. Also run firefox and sometimes IE explorer. Every time I try and open a pdf file the browser freezes up. I have deleated the software and reloaded to no avail. I ran virus software and everything looks clean.
Any thoughts?

My first instinct would be firefox. Not a huge fan of that browser myself.

have you tried to open it on another computer?? Does it give any kind of error?

no error message. Sorry this is the acrobat reader for free download from adobe.

How much RAM do you have? Acrobat is a processor hog. If you have basic RAM, 512 DDR or less, it will slow your computer down to a crawl. This is especially true if the .pdf if a larger file.

If the option is available, try downloading the file and then opening it instead of using the browser.

im not sure if you are doing this already, but don't attempt to open a .pdf through a browser link. just save the file, and then open the pdf from windows explorer.
