Well I bought some frags from someone that has Aiptasia and guess what I found two of them in my tank. I squirted them with boiling water so I hope they don't spread. The trial and tribulations of reef tanks can be overwhelming at times.

I wouldnt do the hot water thing. There is a pretty good chance with that method that they will just spread. Covering the entire thing with kalk and quite aways around it will help prevent spreading.

Better then boiling water and kalk paste...epoxy. Form a ball of purple frag epoxy, coat the bottom with a generous layer of super glue gel, and cram the whole thing into the crevice that little bugger calls home. Work it in deep with your finger tips. When you're done, form the outside of the epoxy ball to match the shape of the rock and you'll have coralline growing on it in no time. Better yet, put some more gel on top and stuff a frag in there. Now you're reefin!

As long as the pest doesn't just find another hole to pop out of, lol
