I just set up a calcium reactor this week and getting it tuned in when I noticed alot of bubbles it the chamber and its not from the CO2, the air got in there from the sump I now put a media over the power head intake and moved it away from the source but will it affect the perfomance of the reactor having air in the chamber? Right now it just appears to be cycling over and over maybe in time the bubbles will work there way out hopefully but will it hurt until then/

Very common on new startup. You will need to burb your unit. Can you elevate the effluent line above the unit and using a milk jug to capture liquid, while opening valve to a stream. Occasionally rock the chamber to promote expelling of air. If questions call me I'm glad to help.

I seem to taken care of the air bubble issue. I was just wondering if air in the chamber affects the performance at all.
