air stone or needle wheel skimmer?

Looking for some advice from the skimmer experts out there!

I have been running an ETSS Gemini 750 on my 300gal system and it just isn't cutting it anymore. I have read Mojo's thread on his skimmer build, he ended up with airstones on a monster skimmer (awesome thread). I can accomodate a large skimmer 6' or so and like some of the advantages of a tall downflow skimmer with long dwel time and without needing to run multiple needle wheel pumps or big injectors.

Any updates out there on what is working best and that can be a good candidate for a build project?

Hey Goby, I would talk to Big T or Disturbedreefer, They built this monster and will be able tell ya how its doing. It seemd to be rocking within 24 hours .
