DonW, do you mean have the inlet/outlet below the motor? If so that is NOT how it is designed to run, meaning pull water up and out. Think you would have the same problem Mike is having with his skimmer nix the air line! You running out of space?

No No. I mean unbolt the wet end and flip it. This will leave the pump part the same and put the motor mount on top.

ooh,i gottacha. What are you going to mount it to? I don't see a problem with rotating the pump 180, haven't done it though. Are you trying to save space and stack the 2 Dolphin's? That would be a great idea! Hopefully someone with a more experience with dolphins will chime in on this but as i said i don't see a problem. HTH
 
Don,
The pump's motor cares not which direction the water goes out of the impeller. You can rotate that volute anywhere around the motor shaft you need.

Les is our Mister Dolphin down here in Tri-Cities...He keeps tearing them apart to see how they work. Does that sound famillar?

I only take them apart when broke, or when others run them dry!!! :razz:

Les earlier tonight while looking at my tank. Hey, I think your pump is running a little loud(hmmm?) I am thinking Les wants to tear my pump apart again. :razz: Whats the outside temp of Dolphin pump says Les...I am thinking Les wants to tear my pump apart again. :razz:
