Ampmaster advise..give pump a break or keep running ...

I am running an amaster 4700 for my closed loop and was wondering what is better for the pump..to give it breaks to cool down or let it always run..i would like to put it on a time for two hours on and two hours off because I still have lots of circulation in my tank but will it harm
The pump..any input would be great..

Starting and stopping motors and pumps always puts extra wear and force on any pump.

That's what I wanted to know..i have never gave it a break and lately it sounds like it is surging..so I thought I did sth wrong
