This summer I bought a new boat. The problem was that my marina is on the north shore of Long Island and the boat was on the south shore. I sailed it around with only a few problems.
My closest friend, and fellow Captain Richie, is in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and he brought the boat around with me. He published an article about the journey in the Coast Guard publication.
There are some pictures of the East River and Manhattan.

Yes I will, I have always had a boat and now that I am retired, I can afford a larger one.
Of course the gas is a different problem :rolleyes:
 
Here are some pictures from that trip that may not have been in the article.
This is the East River, which is a salt water estuary and not a river at all. Manhattan is on the left and Queens NY on the right. This area is called Hells Gate because of the currents.
