we have a giant branching frogspawn that we'll be fragging soon. what would work best to keep a frag anchored to the bottom of the tank? could zip tie to a rock but hoping for other ideas.

Hopefully, you plan to frag it in a way that leaves plenty of skeleton. You can stick the skeleton in a hole in the rocks, or even push it into the sand.

I agree with Sid, whenever I frag LPS similar to Frogspawn I do it with the intention of making a nice piece of the skeleton to stick into rock or use as a base for the sand bed.

Our sand bed isn't really a bed since it's only 1/2" thick, frags fall over. we have a pair of maroon clowns who live in the center of our corner tank with a giant anemone so there's only so much safe areas that frags can go in. i'm using the diamond wheel on a dremel and will definitely have a good piece of skeleton. would love to anchor the pieces in the sand somehow other than zipties.

Another option would be a decent sized piece of rubble rock. You could create a hole, in the rubble rock, the right size for the skeleton to fit into. Then you could either just set it in the hole, if it's a tight fit, or epoxy it in, if it's loose.

I would glue them. Unless you plan on selling them. Then i would get a frag rack.

used rubber bands for years if you are just putting them there temporary. if they are going to be permanent in your tank then glue them in
