Hermit D Crab
I am posting largely because my brain is swimming in text and I haven't come away with what I was looking for..
I have read article after article after FAQ ect on Angels and Butterflies. Their eating habits, ideal environments, hobbyist experiences... I know as with all other fish they are unpredictable.
I would like to add an appropriate angel or butterfly fish for a few reasons:
- I have a good home for one (280 w/moderate to low bio-load)
- Asthetically and personality-wise many of them are Very neat fish
- It can eat all the softies and LPS until it's heart is content
Actually straight-up here is what I am searching for.. An aggressive softy eater and an unlikely SPS/clam eater. I think the reason I have not found my answer has much to do with the literature generically stating they are not reef safe, eating "corals and polyps". I look at the hobbyist's experience and they commonly report their zoos, small anenomes (fine by me)..
I have looked at Imperator, Blue-Face Angels and several Butterfly fish. I would like to stick with the larger species..
Let me know if folks can offer some input here..
