Ok, I hope someone can solve this air bubble mystery!

We set up our 120 gallon tank last weekend. I have a mag 9.5 that was originally set up in line. We were getting tons of micro bubbles, a non stop supply coming from the return. Could not find any leaks and had plenty of water in the sump. I removed the pump from inline and placed in the sump which alleviated 95% of the microbubbles.

Now, instead of these tiny bubbles, every 6-7 seconds we can 4-5 larger air bubbles coming from the return. Any thoughts?

The current setup is a mag in the sump to a flap style chck valve, theh a ball lvalve and flex hose to the bulkhead leading to the return. Please help.

Thank you.

Not sure.... I'll tag along

Here's a bump for you.

Make sure your pump is completely under water the entire time, I'd say at least 4 to 6 inches above the inlet otherwise it can suck in air. If your still getting air, run a temporary hose to the main display from the pump, you can get one at your local home center, just to eliminate all of the plumbing.
