I was just about to clean my gross sump when I ran into what looks like some random zoas. I love zoas so if you guys give me the go ahead I'll move them to my display. Or is this some type of pest? Thanks!

Really need a better picture.
Is there any reason there would be zoanthids in your sump?
Do you have similar looking zoanthids in your display tank?

Ok, maybe if I clean the glass the picture will come out better, I'll try again a little later. They could have been on the rocks when I moved them to the sump, but now they are on the floor. Are there pests out there that look similar to zoas?

Do you or did you have a rock that had zoanthids on it when you moved it to your sump?

There is a pest that does look similar to zoanthids called majanos.

But I'm thinking they could be zoanthids.

Not Majanos as no tentacles near the mouth nor aptasia as they are green and not stringy enough. Looks like zoas or palys straining for light.

I don't have any zoas like these but I did lose a few frags a while back so it's possible they found they're way to these rocks before I moved them to the sump.

Well, I'd maybe move them up to your display tank where the light is better.
Pose them right in front and when they open back up take a few pictures and show us the best.:)

Even if they were majanos ( I don't think so), they won't instantly spring to life and spread destruction in your tank lol

Sound good I'll do that tonight. Thanks for the advice guys

Here they are in the dt. Hopefully with the increase in light their colors will brighten up a bit
