Hi

I've recently discovered that I really like zoa's, the way my tank is scaped I would like to have their finally growth place ( resting places seems a little inappropriate) on a rock that at it's highest point is 12 inches from my 150w 20k MH light ( only place where I can really stop them from spreading everywhere).

I understand what initially I will have to acclimate them to the light, by moving them up the rock scape gradually, but will they do well/hold their colour if they are this high up the tank ( I have a 30g tall( 24x12x25) with a 150w 20k MH)

Right now I have a few green ones that are doing okay ( the ones higher up have more colour then the ones lower down on the rock, the rock is a half circle shape) and some peachy/pink centered ones that are right at the top with medium flow on them.

If I get more will they eventually acclimate to these conditions or will they lack colour etc? If I could find a place lower for the ones I have would they have more colour/be happier?

thanks
Yvonne

Also do zoo's poo? this might seem like a ridiculas question but i can't think of what else it could be, it looks white stuff coming out of the little mouthy thing streaking up to the outer edge. Is this something I should be conserned about or is this normal?
