hey, gang :)

just an update on activities over here...

whew! things have been busy for me as of late :p Its been almost 3 weeks since the last COW (I am still hoping to polish that off tonight before I fly out for conference again). My apologies for the delay. Deadlines with editors and traffic at the two other sites I like to punish myself on have flared up lately.

No worries... I will be grounding myself back here with my sane friends shortly :p (oh... I can just hear the comments on sanity coming now :D)

I'm out for conference the 11th to the 18th Nov (then out again first week of December) but will be hunkered down the rest of the time through the holidays.

I look forward to chatting at/with you soon.

with kindest regards,

Anthony :)

Oooh... BTW, if anybody is interested in joining us for the Germany trip in December, the conference is in Sindelfingen Dec 4/5ish.. and we will be presenting with some outstanding friends/aquarists... Helmut Debelius, Daniel Knop, etc. The hotels are really very affordable and the airfare from the East coast to Frankfurt is only about $300 (Ive seen as low as $248 in the last 2 weeks).

Hey Anthony mind sharing the source of the cheap flight rates... I am not finding anything even close online.

my pleasure... for Germany, there are a ton of flights on USAIRWAYS and their codeshare partners from the East coast. They are huge here. Hubs in Pittsburgh and Philly with sometimes even cheaper flights out of NY or Boston.

I just took a quick peek and searched by price on USAIRWAYS and saw $390 on the first try for Thurs Dec 2 - any return day the next week up to Thurs if you weant a full week... and some other dates for staying longer.

Depending on what East coast city you want to fly out of, it may be cheaper still. Do toggle the dates/airports on USAIRWAYS.com :)

Its called the Aquaterra Symposium 04 and its being held in Sindelfingen Dec 3-5th

Heidelburg and the fabulous Christmas markets are a short drive away too. Great time of year :)

Why would you expect sanity comments.....because of dancing and sequins?

Have fun on your trip to Germany! Sampling some of the brew, too :)

Aside from thanx, you my friend are in a huge boatload of trouble. I know my wife thinks I'm crazy.   :D :D :D Have a great trip. Look forward to hearing your sane???? wisdom when you get back.

In trouble :p What did I do this time? :D

My guess is I'm in trouble with the wife for suggesting some additional expense to your hobby :p

Oh what I wouldn't do for a trip back to Germany! I was stationed there in the Army near Nuremberg at Schwabach Military base. It's closed now but I was there for almost 5 years and had the time of my life. I know you will have fun so no need to mention it.

Just remember to slow down and take some time to smell the brewskis...err, I mean flowers.
Have a safe bunch of trips Anthony.
