Any input on how to quiet down my skimmer?

What can be done to quiet down the gurgle noise that I get from the air tube on my skimmer? ASM skimmer I don't recall what model (5?)

Thanks for the ideas. The next step is to plumb it all out to the garage!!

run a tube into a small cup with some sponge or filter media, or if close enough even outside.

I have lots of them and they don't make that much noise to me. Make sure the impeller is clean and that the hole in the inducer that the air tube is attached to is not blocked. I run a drill bit through the hole to make sure it is wide open.

You can use a film canister with rigid air tubing. and cotton in the canister. just drill a hole in the end with the cap and insert the rigid tube into the hole. drill another hole and leave it open. seal it up and insert tube onto the rigid. done deal
