Has anyone here ever had Hawaiian Opae Ula or Volcano Red Shrimp in there tanks. Apparently they have been selling these shrimp in these ecosphere's which is basically torturing these animals because they are inclosed with no air or food and subject to there own waste and still live for 1-4 years. I have read that they can live up to 20 years under the right conditions. They are no bigger than a sexy shrimp. These are truly amazing shrimp. The question I have is if anyone here has ever kept them? Are they reef safe? Would they make good live food for my fish? Any incite would be great.

Anyone? I am having trouble believing that out of all the people on here, noone has kept or heard of some else keeping them.

No, I am totally fine with my fish eating them, I can keep them in my fug and stir it up every now and then to release pods and these little guys into my DT. I was just making sure these aren't some crazy spider monkey shrimp that wipe out fish and corals in the home aquarium. A lot of time animals can act differently in a tank then they do in the wild.
