I've had my reef for about 10 years and the guy before me had it for 5 or so. It is definitely experiencing old tank syndrome. Most rock work has not been moved in 5-7 years. I am thinking about taking everything out and rinsing and or scrubbing the rock and thoroughly cleaning the small amount of gravel. I know it is really cruddy under the rocks. I have been putting off this job for a few years, but I am thinking it is nearing time.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. It is 100 gallons with a 40 gallon sump/fuge
