Anyone have any experience with?

I've got a small problem, I'm replacing the PC bulbs in my hood with VHO (4 of them) but it seems that URI is even out of stock right now. It's going to be ~1 - 2 weeks before I'll even see the bulbs and I've got a few that are already burned out.

My question is, is it alright to only run 2 of the bulbs (since I've already got the replacement actinic whites) without having the other two? This is not an IceCap ballast, but a 440watt ARO. My concern is that I don't want to overdrive my new bulbs by not having the other 2 in place.

Any and all input is much appreciated.

All I have are 6' bulbs.

Hey E,

That ballast will run 1 bulb, or it will run 4 but anything else will require rewiring the loom. NO bulbs means Normal Output! You could run down to HD and probably pick up a couple 24" t-12 bulbs for a couple bucks each. This is safe, and yes they will probalbly be pretty yellow untill you get your new actenics.
