Sponge there great filter feeders for your tank. I would leave it there and let it grow.

They will grow in the shaded areas. One thing to remember is that they are great filter feeders and a great addition to a tank. Also you wil notice all kinds of color sponges showing up. I have lots of blue encrusting sponge and also alot of yellow and orange. Signs of a healthy tank.

I usually remove it if it's on my zoa rock. It made my zoas closed and have lost a few polyps.
