I have one I dont use anymore. I lost a whole lot of powerheads to it. Just my experince. Cesar uses one and he likes his, and other people use them and like them. If you plan on useing it with the azoo rotating power head or the hagen aquaclear powerhead my experince has been that it destroys powerheads. Others have told me that with maxijet power heads it works great. I dont know as I have never owned a maxi pwrhead. Hope that helps you in some way Steve

I've got one on my 80 gallon. After a year or so it really started to chew up even Maxi-jets. I would think that if there is any possible way to go with a closed loop, I would. That way there are no powerheads in the tank. hth

Maybe this would be better a squid it looks good I am contemplating it my self once my sump is functional and up and running for a while
