Aquarium Concepts - Closing Doors Sale

Not sure if everyone knows this or not but apparently Aquarium Concepts is closing their doors. I was in the store today and live stock is 50% off and dry goods are 30% off.

I bought this really nice 4" crocea electric blue clam for 35.00 bucks. The store still had a ton of corals, fish, clams, snails and other stuff in it. I think they said the last day was the 15th.

Just thought I'd pass the information on.

i'm glad i got there right after they opened today. the livestock wasn't that picked over yet.

I went there as soon as I saw the post this afternoon. Busy, busy, busy. They are not even certain that they'll have enough stock left to make it through the weekend, and as soon as they run low enough, they are done.

There was one couple in there who purchased 6 nice fish. They were buying for their tanks as well as their daughters. Glad I got my livestock and snuck out like I stole something.

I'm really sad to hear that this store is closing. It was one of the first places that really convinced me to get into this hobby. Guess I will have to make the short trip over tomorrow and see what's left. Looks like I'll be making that long drive out to Blue Sierra more often now.

Erik- you and me both. Actually the closing of Aquarium Concepts may save me money because I won't want to drive to Blue Sierra as often as I go to Aquarium Concepts.

That really is unfortunate. It was the only place close to me that sells DT's, and they always had some decent frags for sale.

I was the last customer last night. It was really sad to see. They are only selling a few select tanks and keeping all of the lighting, etc, on the display tanks. Is someone else opening up a new store??? I can't imagine what a person would do with that equipment if they are not going to sell it off. If you are looking for livestock, I went as far as picking up barnacles and corals to find anything that was left. I would recommend going there today if you want anything. I think they open at 12.
