GARF makes a cement that it recommends for making your own liverock. I was considering purchasing a bag, and then going down to my local plastics place and picking up some shavings.

Here's an article for setting up a zero impact reef tank http://www.garf.org/aragwk/zero.html

I was wondering if any forum members have used this product before, and if they enjoyed creating the sculpture?

Good experiences? Opinions? Criticisms?

I've heard a few people talking about using the stuff and making their own, but couldn't say what they thought of it. A member here, Mike Harrington, uses something similar which you can see in the link below on post#54 . You'll have to wait a while for all the pics to upload. I'm sure you will have some of those who have tried to make their own rock chime in soon. Best of luck:)

I have made ton of the stuff, I have pics from few years back, It is fun to do and make whatever suits your fancy. But curing it for 6 weeks in fresh water is a must and Live rock with it is also a must. I am good friends with Leroy's Sister and we have talked extensively about the rock and seeding it. I have tried the grunge and it worked some for me but I found better results from Live rock mixed with the agrocrete. TRhats just my Opinon, Sally Jo has made great strides in her way of doing things, I wish I had the same results, But everyone has thier own. Its a good way to save a reef now days with bleaching effect going on.
