Tiger gobies dont get much bigger than 1.25-1.5" long. I have one in my pico and two in my 40B
They are really cute.

Lorie,

thinking about adding them or orange diamond gobies to my 375g tank....if they dont bigger than 1.5 im just wondering if they will get spooked by the large angels and jumped..

i had a 3yr old orange diamond that was a good 3-4 inches and just disappeared one day...so since my tank was fallow for 8 wks, im looking to add sand sifters back...i wanted something new for sand sifters, and tiger gobies looked like a good choice.

yellow headed sleeper gobie was a consideration, but read they are not that hardy and dont last long in the tank....

thoughts???

I've never had mine jump. They like staying in, on or under the rock work. They perch more than swim. I dont think it would ever get that close to the top of the tank. If anything, I would worry about them becoming a snack for some of your big fish! They will get lost in that big of a tank, but they would probalby love it though. I dont know that they are going to do enough work to keep up in that size of a tank. I'd stick with the diamond goby. They are some great workers. You can always get both. It would be cool to get a chance to see them every once in a while. Would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Sorry, when you said tiger gobies, thats what I thought of. Wasnt thinking tiger watchman goby

Hey Guys,

The species that is coming in is V. Longipinnis. Very similar to Diamond Sifters. I was hoping I was getting V. Wardii for you Kirk but they didn't include the scientific name until they invoiced and shipped. Still great sifters.
