ATI T-5 Combo

Hi guys,

I have decided to replace my bulbs and after much research (most of which came from here) have decided upon the ATI brand. I currently run 2 12k whites and 2 true actinics.

I recently bought a multi color acan that had an amazing purple color. While the purple is still there it has lost a ton of its luster (yes the water parameters are fine). My delima is just what bulb combo would be the best. So here is what I was thinking...

1 purple plus
1 true actinic
2 aqua blue 15k

So the big question is would it be better to swap one of the aqua blue bulbs for a blue plus even though I dont have any SPS and do not intend to aquire any in the near future?

What I'm trying to accomplish is brighter purples and reds from my acans while maintaining the same lighting properties for the rest of my corals, which are LPS and softies.

1 ati aquablue special
1 kz fiji purple

This seems to be one of the most recommend color combos on here. We are running it and love the color. The fiji purple really makes the reds pop and I have heard the give more par than other purple bulbs. Just my .02

Thanks for the advice. I went with the recomended combo and all I can say is WOW!

What a diffrence in color from my corals and it almost seems like my fish are a bit calmer.

The avatar yellow is from the previous lighting I'm guessing. I'll get some pics in the AM when the lights come back on. I dont have very many pics from the previous lighting to demonstrate the diffrence but I can attest to it. I sat there for an hour today with my jaw on the floor. I cant wait to get the red and silver acan I've been looking at.

Well here they are, or at least I hope so. I took them from my phone so the quality is a bit off. I also had a painfully slow upload process, anyone else experience this or did I just do it wrong?

I left my avatar the same to demonstrate the huge difference from the new nem pic. I couldnt find any old pics of the acan though. The star polyps went from green to electric green as did the zoos. The bubble has taken on a nice silver/ blue tint though its hard to see in the pic but is much better from the cream white.

I bought the ATI T5's a couple weeks ago. I have not had a chance to change them out yet. After seeing your pics, I am going to have to get it done. Nice difference.
