We've all done it and I hate when I do. But I knocked off some of my sps frags.
I only have liquid super glue and I tried attaching it back to the piece of rubble rock but it wasn't having it.
And the rubble was way too big anyhow

So I have some of the clay type epoxy for attaching rocks.
Can I just make a ball of the epoxy and stick the sps in the ball. It would make placement a lot easier. :)

Thanks.
Steven.

I'm not sure what the contents is house epoxy is and what it may leach out but you can go to any Dollar store they sell super glue but you want to buy the Gel and it comes in two or three tubes the three is the better value.

Yea I should go get the gel. Just thought the coral stick epoxy stuff may work.
I need laundry soap anyway :)

I found myself with several new frags and NO frag glue for a day and a friend suggested the dollar store. I still by a large tube from the LFS for big projects but i keep 40~50 little packages at all time:biggrin1:

Thanks man. I'll look for the gel

I've read that people will use a combination of superglue gel and reef epoxy to mount sps frags.

Make a ball of the epoxy, then add superglue to each side of the ball, push the frag into the superglue/epoxy and then push the other side of the superglue/epoxy into the rock. I guess the superglue holds everything together untill the epoxy hardens and makes it more permanant.
I am not a sps guy so I can't confirm one way or the other how well it works.............

And now I see why you have so many.
One lasts maybe three frags. I used it for different reasons but it was like the sample I got of ecotec coral glue.
Anyways works good either way.

Ive seen this done with great success. I use the super glue because over time (for me) my sps and lps frags have in a sense used the superglue as a base and either grown over of through it making a solid footing.

I just stuffed it in the ball and it stuck

I've read with the super glue they grow a base around it. So I'm guessing this won't happen now.
Oh well it's stuck for now until I break it off again :/
Have to remember their fragile :)
