Auto Reservoir Top Off?

I was looking online at the Genesis Reef Systems site and noticed their ROCv unit that automatically fills your top off container from your RODI line.

Unfortunatley you need to buy their STORM unit in order to make it work. I already own a Tunze Osmolator and was wondering if someone knew of a way to achieve the same effect without having to buy a whole new system? Has anyone purchased or MacGyvered something that solves this problem?

I guess I should also ask, is this a bad idea? Has anyone run into problems trying to solve a problem like this?

All you need is a latched relay setup connected to a solenoid valve. Will do the same job allowing it to empty before refilling.

Don
