baby cardinals

well we just noticed that we have 2 baby cardinals in my overflow box and i have no idea on what to do. and it looks like the momma has a few in her mouth

please help

actually papa has them in his mouth. If you want to raise the babies you need to place them in a separate tank or they will be eaten. Also place papa in the other tank and when he release's the babies take him out.

you probably dont have a cycled quarentine tank huh? You can always try to separate them with one of those breeder nets...

you will need a food source I.E. Rotifiers. I have phytoplankton that will feed the rotifiers if you ever need some culture to start =p.

yes we got a one gal for right now and still swimming.

yes were feeding them baby brine shrimp, but now i need to do a sponge filter. is that somthing i can make.

=p yes. pretty easily. but probably cheaper to buy. I had one if I find it you can have it.

I have a few small tanks, a small heater, a HOB filter and an air stone/pump if you need to borrow any equipment.

Let me know if these guys grow up, maybe I'll buy a pair off of you
