Just getting back into the saltwater tanks after about 10 years. A lot has changed with great forums like these and so much more info is available. Last weekend I went around to see the different LFS in the Seattle area and was really happy when someone told me to visit Barrier Reef. It was hands down the best LFS I've ever been too. Everyone was helpful ( especially Brie) and they also pointed me to RF so here I am posting for the first time after lurking for a week.

I haven't bought any equipment yet but am looking for a used set up all ready to go minus livestock. Hoping to find either a BioCube 29 or a Red Sea Max 130. We'll see what happens! About two weeks ago someone sold me a BC 29 w/stand on craigslist for a great price only to undercut me the day before I went to pick it up ... I was so mad about that. Anyway there's always the next deal out there right? :frusty:

Cheers to all and I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Ps - As my name suggests I live in Ballard.

Welcome to the site! A lot has changed in the last 10 years... I had a 10 year hiatus also, then got a tank started again (custom build) about 14 months ago. I attribute my minor success to all the great info and assistance I've gotten here.

Welcome.....yeah after 10 years there is a LOT of catching up to do. This hobby has grown by leaps and bounds in that time.

You have come to the right place, and I agree BR is one awesome LFS.
Welcome to RF and Welcome back to the obsession ;)
