I have 4 Bar Gobies, 1 large one, 3 smaller ones. A few days ago one of the small gobies mouth appears milky white, the rest look normal. He is eating fine, swimming fine and is very quick. Everything appears normal except for the white mouth. Does anyone have an idea what this is or experienced this. He has good coloration and good fin structure, looks like the rest except for his mouth. Thanks-Earl

Is there any possibility of getting a clear picture?
Could be a fungas. They dart in and out of the rock pretty fast and it could have injured itself and gotten an infection.

I will try to get one tomorrow, sometimes he is not very cooperative. I get the camera out and my McCoskers Wrasse starts swimming in front of it blocking out everything else. I am thinking injury, banging into something. One day it wasn't there, the next day it was. Thanks Lorrie.

No fungus. Checked with Bob Fenner and he suggested that it may be a sex change in progress, It now has lost the white lips, but it is rubbing and twirling around the larger dartfish, the original one. Seems to be rather amorous.
