Just wanted to show off my BAS gear. It got a clean bill of health from the man himself Thank you John for the excellent deal my friend.

Quick release needle valve:

you can see an acrylic splash guard in the above pic. I made this out of some scrap since the motor is so close to the sump.

using an aqualifter right now, hooked up to a float switch. needle valve is on the input side of the stirrer, helps avoid pressure in the stirring tube:

6g fresh water---> aqualifter ---> needle valve ---> BAS ---> sump

|--> float switch ---> sump
