Being able to edit your **posts** in the for sale section

I was just wondering if there was any way we could edit our OP in the for sale sections, that way people dont have to go through all the other posts in that thread to see what is still available? As you know some for sale threads can end up being pages long. I know you can edit for the first couple minutes but im just wondering if you can always edit it.

Just wondering what the good and bad would be of doing that.

I believe you have the ability to edit it for the first hour. After that, edit function is disabled, for good.

Its like Ebay. You can't change the original posting after it has been offered for sale. Its mostly to protect the buyer. Lets say you buy something on this board after reading the specifications posted by the seller. Lets say you buy an item, take it home, find its not what you thought it was based on the description, but when you log on to check the sales posting, you find that the description has changed. Its happened to me on this website.

How about if its possible, to add onto your origonal post but not be able to take off? is that possible? Like be able to update the origonal post? Does that make sence?
