Anyone ever use berghia nudibranchs for aiptasia control iam thinking about trying to get some but have no experience withthese guys

There is a thread on RC that talks about them and a guy that breeds them for sale. I have used them before, they worked great up until there were no more aptaisia, then they all died of starvation, they are very small and can be hard to get back out to get them into another tank. If there is a possibility to get them back out successfully then they may be a good option, but in my experience just going with pepperment shrimp is a better option.

Curt's right. Using Peppermint Shrimp is kind of hit and miss. Some eat it while others won't. However, as Disturbed said, once all your aiptasia are gone, your nudis will die. If I were going to use nudis, I'd feel bad about starving them...lol. I have a 10 gallon set up as a pod tank. I'd probably put a couple aiptasia in there to breed so I could continue feeding the nudis...lol. But then I'd probably never be able to get the nudis out of my display, they'd starve anyway and then I'd have a 10 gallon pod tank full of aiptasia!!! Who knows.

hrm, i wouldnt be opposed to ordering one for my own tank, if i could find it a good home when its exhausted its food source. Anyone want to play pass the nudi? We could give it a support network, a nudi food bank :p
