Best Digital Camera for Beginners????

At least a 3 meg. Lithium Batteries I believe are pretty good aren't they?
I've heard of some of these running out way too fast.....
Best place to purchase? Online possibly or not??
Good Macro shots......
Most likely around the 2-350.00 range.........

Markstr - when I was looking for a camera I payed attention to the macro mode. I looked for the camera with the shortest focusing distance I could afford....that way I knew I was going to be able to take good tank shots. Custom white balance is a nice feature, however, I'm still learning about setting that. I have the Canon G3, but I don't know how much it costs anymore. You might be able to locate it online, or find another good camera used on a photography board.
