Birdsnest

Hey Kevin, here are those birdsnests I was telling you about, check out the new growth structure since they have been in our tank (about a month I think?). I got these from fly guy:

I can't really tell in the first picture but i can assure you that the second picture is a birdsnest colony.

Hi Jerrod,
The first one doesn't look like a Seriatopora to me but I really can't tell from the picture.
The second one is Seriatopora hystrix and it is maintaining excellent pink coloration. It can be difficult to keep the bright pink without halides unless kept close to the lights.

See if you can get a closer picture of the first one, or better yet bring me a frag

Each one of the little balls of polyps is a new branch, its hard to see in the pic

Hi Jerrod,
Yes it is obvious in the first picture that it is indeed Seriatopora sp. Likely hystrix but I'm not positive. We'll see when it grows out. In any case both are quite nice specimens.

woohoo! I was surprised how much the green one changed colors, it was really orange when we first got it, and super orange under the halides it was originally under.

The yellow/green one could also be Stylophora pistillata aka green catspaw
