Got a file fish from someone just to get rid of a few aptasias I've found in this one rock.
Found this today. Looks like a bite in person idk if the photo will do justice.

Let me know. :(

Looking like a bite mark. Use berghia for aiptasia you can find them at OBD or Barrier. Or look into retraining the file fish.

Bummer. Looks like a bite to me to. Mine never went after my duncan colony, but it did eat a couple no name zoas. They werent very nice anyways. I havent had aptasia in a couple years. Ive only really battled with majonos up untill i got a filefish to battle them for me...lol.

I have ONE rock that I cannnot get it to go away. And I didn't have a problem with it spreading until we moved. I only had a few new spots but I got them with aptasia X. Unfortunatly I've used all the bottle I had. Thought I'd try this.
I've tried Pep shrimp before.... and my clown fish of all killed them both.. ;0

It was kinda entertaining seeing him drag them around the tank. AT the same time it really errrked me.

anyway. TRAINING file fish.. i need a 101 :D
or else I'll get rid of him. I'd rather try aptasia x again then lose corals. I DO keep them fed. and recently they've been getting lots of dragons breath. ( my sump has been letting it go into my return. ) also the seaweed I feed probably a 4" square every other day or three days.
I just got nice zoas :(

Try boiling water. It melts them. Thats how i got rid of the aptasia. AptasiaX didnt work to well for me. Just dont let the water touch any corals, theyll melt to.
