I know, I know, everyone wants pictures but I am sitting in a hotel room thinking about my tank and thought I should bring this topic up. Give me a few days to get photos, but picture this...

I was looking at my tank and spotted what I thought were some black algae bubbles. When I poked at them thinking I could scrape them off the rock, they moved!!! After closer inspection they look like little 'potato' bugs but shiny black in color. Any clues???

+2 on Stomatella snails, I have both the typical cream colored ones and the VERY COOL looking Iridescent Jet Black species.

I can't get a decent picture of these buggers but after a bit of research I think they are Black Stomatella snails. As TJL mentioned, these are quite cool as in the light they are indeed a jet black with a pearl iridescent shine to them. Thanks everyone.

+3 Black Stomatella . Have a few of them in one of the tanks. Very cool like TJL mentioned.
