So I saw a blue dot sea hare today at an LFS and he completely fascinated me. I was curious if anybody has any experience keeping them. I've been looking them up all day but information on them is a little sparse. I don't have my main tank up yet, which will be a reef, but I have a 14 gallon set up as temporary holding tank for my 2 fish and 1 cleaner shrimp until the big tank gets finished. So would he be fine in the small tank for a while and then be moved into the reef? I really want to buy him but I don't want to get him out of impulse at his expense.

Could never keep them in my tank... either my emerald crab would eat it or it would get stuck to my closed loop suction strainer and die.

Pretty sure they are poisonous when they die. Small water volume could be trouble
