I bought this bright green sick coral form a LFS and fragged it. Can anyone tell me what this is? Are there any special conditions I need to maintain for this coral? THe LFS does great with the other corals but not this green one. This guy had some major tissue loss. thanks!

Hello,
It is a Seriatopora sp. and prefers high light and water movement. A moderately hardy coral with a fast growth rate. No special requirements beyond standard parameters for SPS corals.

Regards,
Kevin

thank everyone for your replies, I will make sure to redirect my powerhead to give it good flow. I will provide updates on how well they are doing,

Travis

I have seen the best results from strong but diffuse flow....sometimes powerheads are a little toodirect in how they blast the coral.

if the polyps are out and full, you are on the right track. if not, realign the stream.
Long term, the more dense the branches grow, the better the flow characteristics are.
Good luck! D
