Bright GSP rock not opening

I have had this rock for ever and had no problems at all. Today it has not opened up at all not even one polyp. Everything else in the tank seems to be fine. Any ideas what could be wrong or what to test for?

did you put any new corals in the area of its location, change lights or something of that nature? Move it to more light, those things really do good if you blast them with light.

When I used to have GSP every once in a while they wouldnt open for a day or 2 and they would have a glossy look to them and then they would open back up a day or so later.

sounds like my problem that i posted earlier today in general coral section that used to be calfo.

Yeah, Green star Polyps will do that every now and then. Then a day ot two later, they open up everything is wonderful.

This might sound kind of odd but someone on nano-reef.com just told me their GSP does this on occasion and they take it out of the tank and scrub it off with a very soft bristle tooth brush.
