Bristleworm spraying?

Ok,

First: not on drugs "currently"

So I was over looking at mah tank and one of my big mushrooms looked like it had some red thing come out of it and it sprayed red "stuff" in HUGE quantities. In my amazement I went to grab my phone to take a picture. When I got back I see one of my rather big bristleworms poking he head/ass out of one of the rocks and then BLAM!!! It sprays another huge load!

I have never seen this. Wut da hell is it doing???
