i just bought a 35 gallong hex tank today, and im thinking about building a sump for it. i have a piece of acrylic that is about 3 to 3.5 feet by 2 feet, and around 1/4 thick. i need it to fit in the stand, which does not have much room. does anybody have any design ideas that might go good for this tank? i dont have exact measurements for my stand but i can get them tomarrow. thanks

With most hex tanks, sumps are hard to do because the distance between the legs is very small, so you end up with a long thin sump.

Now if you put the sump in before the tank is setup, by putting down from the top, you can go with a much larger sump, you could make it a square to give you the max easy water volume.
