hi there

Its time to change my bulbs. and after some reserch I have narrow my bulbs options to these 4 in that order of preference:

1.- reeflux 12000k 250W
2.- Megachrome 14000K 250W
3.- XM 15000 250W
4.- Phoenix 1400K 250W


Can someone give his oponion about the expirence with this bulbs (especialy reeflux) I dont want a yellow tank I want a crips blues and greens colors. Pictures will help me a lot.

My tank has some LPS (hamer, frog spawn)and softies but in the future I will be upgrating to sps.

Also LOOK at as many tanks as you can. Ask what bulbs and ballasts they are running, and find what you like. Pics are great, but are dependant upon the camera (white scale calibration, etc.). Check around and see if anyone has a 250w bulb you can try. (I only have 400's...sorry).

the Reeflux 12k's lose par value very quickly from what i hear.. they have to be changed alot more frequently.
