calcium reactor media

I am finanlly getting a calcium reactor set up a Geo 618 w/ second chamber. So for all those that are running one. What is your favorite type such as size and brand and why.

ARM Corse Media in the first chamber.

You have to run your PH down to around 6.7 to dissolve this but I have never had a problem of it "melting" like the finer stuff. I use the fine (original) in the second chamber, thats more to raise the PH of the effluent before going back into the sump.

I'll second the coarse media. Did the fine for a little and it was a nightmare.

Yeah I found out the fine sucks! Coarse much easier to use.

I agree coarse is easier I do use fine low (1/4) in the reactor and coarse up high (3/4)fine likes to clog things...
