Can anyone tell what these litte white stars ARE?

I just discover couple of these on the glass. They are all white and have a shape like a star. Move very slow. Can anyone tell what they are and if they are harmful or not. Thanks.

Asterina stars. Harmless. There populations will rised and fall with time. Just a free be that came with your LR. Enjoy

They eat algae and coraline, a fast growing cleaner type and nutrient export if they are pulled out

Mike, how's your population of them doing? ; )

I feed my school of tangs and angel a bunch of sheet algae and it adds a lot of nutrients to the water which besides feeding the corals, feeds the little stars. Probably remove 50-100 tiny ones a week.
