I have 6 small blue LED lights that turn on when my regular lights go out on my tank. I don't really use them for anything except i think the blue glow looks really neat in the tank when its dark. Can the light coming from these LEDs cause algea to grow? I ask because I have a small problem with brown algea growing. Thanks

I say no, at least no more then 2 seconds of regular light. you should just get some good snails for your tank, that will take care of diatom growth.
