can i do to much filtering

about a month ago i bought a 55 gallon set up with wet dry. great deal on craigslist. it was running just fine then i was able to get a 90 reef ready with refugium for even a better deal so i combinded the 2. i set up the 90 and took all the live rock form the 55 and i started running the rufgium and i thought to myself why not put the wet dry on to for extra filtation. so is it possible for me to put to much filtration on the 90 gallon reef. it now is running with 100lb of live rock. 80 lbs of live sand(main tank) and the refuguim have about 20lbs live rock algea and deep sand. so is it possible to have to much

i run a redsea skimmer on it also sorry i forgot to mention that

I would ditch the wet/dry not needed for a reef tank. They tend to trap become nitrate factories.

I agree with getting rid of the Wet/Dry. It will quickly become a nitrate factory and you'll be battling nitrates. Quality live rock, good flow and skimming is all the filtration you need!!
